Spinach Cheese Swirls

I dream about puff pastry...

Ingredients
1/2 package puff pastry sheet (1 sheet)
1 egg
1 T. water
1/2 C. Muenster or Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/4 C. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 green onion, chopped
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 pkg (~10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained

Instructions
  1. Thaw puff pastry at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 400F.
  3. Mix egg and water.  Set aside. 
  4. Mix cheeses, onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  5. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface.  Brush with egg mixture.  Top with cheese mixture and spinach.  Starting at short side, roll up like a jelly roll.  Cut into 20 (1/2") slices.  Place on baking sheet.  Brush with egg mixture.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
