1 lb. beef, cut into cubes
2 medium potatoes, cut the same size as the beef
1/2 small cabbage, quartered
1 onion, quartered
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 T. patis (fish sauce)
2 T. vegetable oil
2 black pepper corns
4 C. water
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium pot, heat oil and saute the garlic and onions.
- Add water, the beef, black pepper and patis. Bring to a boil then simmer for 1 hour or until the beef is tender.
- Add the potatoes. Continue to simmer until potatoes are tender.
- Add the cabbage. Do not over cook the vegetables.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve steamed white rice.
